Cristiano Lucarelli says he knows nothing of reports that he will be playing for Napoli in 2011-12.

The veteran attacker joined the Azzurri from Parma last summer on a loan deal with the option to buy.

However, Lucarelli snapped knee ligaments in September during his second game for the outfit and was rarely used once he returned to action in January.

"Nothing official has arrived from Napoli," said the Parma player. "I'm waiting to understand whether there is this possibility or not.

"I have a good relationship with boss Walter Mazzarri and we often speak with each other, something that will still occur in 10 years' time.

"He has faith in me, but it is clear that it will be the club who will decide. I don't have any confirmation of what is being said in the newspapers."

Lucarelli, who will be 36 in October, joined Parma in January 2008 for €5.7m from Shakhtar Donetsk.

He worked with Mazzarri at Livorno during his first spell with the Tuscan outfit.
