Lazio President Claudio Lotito warned Coach Simone Inzaghi “isn’t Merlin who can resolve all our problems and I don’t need to make him happy.”
The tactician is in negotiations for a new contract after taking them to the Coppa Italia Final and fifth place in Serie A, but said many times he wants the club to keep hold of its strongest players.
Lotito was at an event today and reporters asked if he would make Inzaghi happy.

“I don’t have to many anyone happy. He isn’t Merlin who can resolve all our problems,” replied Lotito.
“Inzaghi helped to make the most of the strong players that we have and I know they’re strong, as everyone keeps asking us for them.
“I have to make the project ‘happy’ and not Inzaghi.”
