Cagliari Coach Diego Lopez believes his side need ‘five or six more points’ to guarantee Serie A survival.
The Sardi are currently five points clear of third-bottom club Crotone and sit in 15th place in the table.
However, they have lost their last two matches and today travel to face a Verona team desperate for points themselves.
“We need to play as we did against Benevento,” Lopez told his pre-match Press conference.
“We need a match with a lot of character and we have to use our heads.

“Against Torino we played a good first half. People say the performance was poor but I think the first half was good.
“We collapsed in the second half and I don’t deny that. Against Genoa we also played well without winning.
“We will need five or six more points, but we are not desperate yet. Obviously in this situation every point is vital.”
