“I know that other clubs knocked on the Inter door for me, but I’m happy to be going to Verona,” the forward told the Gazzetta dello Sport after completing a loan move.
“I have the sensation that this is the right team and club for me. And I always follow my instinct,” he continued.
“I hope to play as much as possible for Verona and then become a protagonist with the Italian Under-21 side.”
Longo becomes the latest Inter youngster to leave San Siro in search of regular first team football.
“Inter knew that I, like Francesco Bardi [who did join Livorno], preferred to go and play our football elsewhere,” the forward explained.
“But who knows what will happen in the future? I’d be happy to go back to the Nerazzurri, but I wouldn’t mind another experience abroad either.
“I dream of England. The Premiership really attracts me and I think I have the characteristics to adapt to that football.”
