The only hope the Nazionale have now is to be the best runners-up out of the three groups, but the odds are frankly slim.

“We didn’t do our duty, because we shouldn’t have put ourselves in this situation,” Sassuolo midfielder Locatelli told Rai Sport.

“The fact is we had the chances to qualify as group winners, we won the first game with Spain and should’ve done better. We only have ourselves to blame.”
