This is not the first time Ljajic has run into trouble with his team, as then-Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic threw him out for refusing to sing the national anthem.
“Considering the situation, I think the best thing is to keep players with this kind of attitude away from the squad to avoid them ruining team spirit,” explained Advocaat in a Press conference.
He pin-pointed Ljajic and Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic as the bad apples.
“Ljajic is a good player, but he has a different mentality to the kind I am looking for in my players. So far I’ve seen almost all players happy to be part of the squad, so I don’t need those who do not feel completely at ease here.”
