Daniel Agger seems closer to Napoli than ever after he was left in the stands for Liverpool’s match with Borussia Dortmund.
The reports linking the defender with a Serie A switch had already been picking up steam, as Federico Fernandez is ready to join Swansea City for €10m (£8m).

The reports linking the defender with a Serie A switch had already been picking up steam, as Federico Fernandez is ready to join Swansea City for €10m (£8m).
Napoli hope to take Agger on loan from Liverpool with the Reds paying a portion of his wages – the same system that allowed them to use Pepe Reina last season.
Agger is more an outsider than ever at Anfield, as today he is not even on the bench for Liverpool’s prestigious friendly match against Borussia Dortmund.
If he can be signed on loan, it means Napoli will be able to reinvest the Fernandez money in a midfielder.
That could well be Lucas Leiva of Liverpool, Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini or Tottenham’s Sandro.
