The midfielder was their captain, but has barely featured this season due to injuries, then turned down a January transfer to Serie B side Padova.

“I never tried to cause controversy, so I just want to find a solution that suits everybody.”

He is ready to terminate his contract by mutual consent and has been linked with a series of different clubs, including overseas.
“I don't know if I will play on Sunday. I train to my best, as always, then if I play or not depends purely on what decisions the Coach makes.
“Delio Rossi is a great Coach who works very well on the field.”
