It’s reported Fiorentina will sign Lisandro Lopez from Benfica over the next few days for €7m.
The 26-year-old Argentine centre-back has been a target for some time, especially since Portuguese tactician Paulo Sousa took over this summer.
According to Florence-based newspaper La Nazione, a deal has essentially been done and Lopez is due to complete the transfer before the New Year.
Negotiations were eased by the fact ex-Fiorentina star Manuel Rui Costa is the director at Benfica.
