The Nerazzurri need only a point to qualify for the Champions League knock-outs, but were defeated at San Siro by Trabzonspor in the opening game, so this is a dangerous fixture.

Wesley Sneijder is out for up to three weeks following a thigh strain, while Douglas Maicon is also sidelined and Philippe Coutinho only fit for the bench. Diego Forlan is both ineligible and injured.

Yuto Nagatomo and Lucio return from their injury problems to go straight into the starting XI, moving Javier Zanetti into midfield with Ricky Alvarez.

Dejan Stankovic replaces Sneijder as the trequartista behind an all-Argentine front two of Zarate and Milito.

Trabzonspor are without Robert Vittek and Tayfun Cora, but Baris Atas and Paulo Henrique recover in time to be on the bench.

Burak Yilmaz and Giray Kacar have also shaken off injuries to start.

Trabzonspor: Tolga Zengin; Celutska, Glowacki, Giray Kacar, Cech; Serkan Balci, Zokora, Colman; Halil Altintop, Alalnzinho; Burak Yilmaz

Trabzonspor bench: Onur Kivrak, Mustafa Yumlu, Baris Atas, Aykut Agkun, Mierzejewski, Paulo Henrique, Pawel Brozek

Inter: Julio Cesar; Nagatomo, Samuel, Lucio, Chivu; Zanetti, Cambiasso, Alvarez; Stankovic; Zarate, Milito
