Campagnaro has been out of action for nearly two months, during which he was in a tug-of-war with the Argentina squad amid debate over his actual status.

The ex-Napoli centre-back has now returned, replacing the suspended Andrea Ranocchia, while Walter Samuel, Cristian Chivu, Mauro Icardi and Diego Milito are sidelined.

Fredy Guarin again takes the support role behind lone centre-forward Rodrigo Palacio, moving Ricky Alvarez to a deeper midfield position. Saphir Taider starts against his former teammates.

Bologna have Diamanti leading the way as their star forward, joined tonight by Cristaldo rather than Inter-owned Diego Laxalt.

Panagiotis Kone and Diego Perez make up the midfield, though Andrea Mantovani, Henry Gimenez and Niccolo Cherubin are out.
