There are strong reports that Atalanta will sack Coach Edy Reja if he doesn’t get all three points today, as the Orobici’s last Serie A win was on December 6 against Palermo.

The run of six draws and eight losses has seen them slide down to the edge of the relegation zone and tempers are flaring.

Bologna are comfortably mid-table, but the Roberto Donadoni effect is wearing off, as they are without a win in four rounds, scoring just one goal.

Rafael Toloi sits out a ban for Atalanta, while Carlos Carmona and Gianpaolo Bellini are sidelined.

Pinilla leads the attack with Diamanti – facing his former club who he left in fairly bitter circumstances in February 2015 – and Alejandro Gomez.

Bologna miss injured Mattia Destro, Luca Rossettini and Kevin Constant, so Sergio Floccari takes the centre-forward role. When these sides met in November, Atalanta were swept aside 3-0 at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

The Rossoblu haven’t conquered the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia since a 1-0 result in January 2009, followed by two draws and two defeats.

Atalanta: Sportiello; Masiello, Paletta, Stendardo, Drame; Kurtic, De Roon, Cigarini; Diamanti; Pinilla, Gomez

Bologna: Mirante; Mbaye, Gastaldello, Maietta, Morleo; Brighi, Diawara, Brienza; Rizzo, Floccari, Giaccherini
