On from touching down in Sydney and receiving a welcome at the airport, club captain Buffon was one of a number to face the media.
“The warm welcome that we have received helps us to understand the importance of this team and what it means to represent it,” the goalkeeper has considered.
“Having seen the fans at even six in the morning, it was moving, perhaps this would not happen even in Italy.
“To face Del Piero? It is a first for me, and most importantly for Juventus and it will be very nice for the fact that Ale and Juventus will be able to meet for this game.
“I hope that this is the starting point for an even more romantic encounter, and I hope that we can once again appreciate his play, but without him scoring…”
