Italian FA President Carlo Tavecchio believes Serie A clubs must put more faith in their own young players, rather than purchasing abroad.

Tavecchio was speaking at a Press conference in Taormina today and focused on a topic he has frequently spoken out about in the past.

“I refuse to believe that we continue to use players who come from all over the world without investing in our own youth system,” he said.

“On Sunday in Serie A I saw several foreigners play who would be good for Serie B or Lega Pro.
