The Nerazzurri must play their two Serie A games in hand after the Club World Cup commitments in December.

“I think you can rotate the squad in Serie A as well, not just in the Coppa Italia,” insisted the Coach.

“Almost the entire side is at my disposal now, so it's not just a physical thing, but also testing out those who until this moment haven't played as much. As I said, that can happen in any competition and not just the Coppa Italia.

“At this moment, after two victories and with the team improving, we go into an important game. I want the side to leave its mark and learn lessons every time it steps on to the field. This is why we must face every game the same way.”

Inter are eager to defend the title, which helped them complete the Treble last season along with the Scudetto and Champions League.

“The Coppa Italia has seen Inter be a protagonist in recent years and is an objective for this club in the current campaign too,” continued Leonardo on Inter Channel.

“That is especially true considering you can reach the final if you win just three games. They are very difficult encounters, starting from Genoa.”
