FIGC has come down hard on Palermo and Lazio’s Presidents for irregular transfer activity, handing Maurizio Zamparini and Claudio Lotito lengthy bans.

Found guilty by the Italian FA for breaching regulation with regards to the Rosanero’s sale of Javier Pastore to Paris Saint-Germain last summer, Zamparini has been suspended from carrying out transfer activity on the behalf of his club for the next 12 months.

Similarly, Lotito has been handed a 10-month suspension from working on any market deals at Lazio, for unauthorised actions taken during the Aquile’s purchases of Julio Cruz and Mauro Zarate, both of which were concluded in 2009.
