Lucas Leiva said Lazio “will set no limits and want to go all the way” after disposing of Dynamo Kiev to reach the Europa League quarter-finals.

The former Liverpool midfielder got his second Europa League goal of the season in the 2-0 victory in Ukraine, sending the Aquile through 4-2 on aggregate.

“I could’ve scored on Sunday against Cagliari too, but then the deflection made it an own goal,” Leiva told Sky Sport Italia.

“I am happy for the goal and that I helped the team. It was important to win, but now we want to keep going, because we can go far in this competition.

“We’ll set no limits on ourselves and we want to go all the way. We know there are strong teams in the Europa League, but we’re among them.

“Lazio’s performance today was very similar to the kind we put in at the start of the season. When results aren’t arriving, we must give our all and today we did everything right.”
