Lucas Leiva says he may need to ‘make a move’, as he is not playing much at Liverpool and Napoli could still be on his wish list.

The Brazilian midfielder has only featured in five games in all competitions for the Reds this season and has now confirmed he is keen to find a solution at some stage.

“I want to play but at the same time I need to be patient,” Leiva has told Radio Marca this week.

The Brazilian midfielder has only featured in five games in all competitions for the Reds this season and has now confirmed he is keen to find a solution at some stage.

“I want to play but at the same time I need to be patient,” Leiva has told Radio Marca this week.

“I need to find a solution either at Liverpool or at another club.

“In the past, there were rumours about Atletico Madrid, but there wasn’t anything concrete about this.

“At the moment I don’t have contacts with other clubs but considering that I don’t find enough space at Liverpool, I should start to make a move.”

Leiva holds an Italian passport and has worked with Rafa Benitez before, two conditions that saw him linked with a move to Napoli this past summer.

“There was something with Napoli but it wasn’t a positive situation for both parties.

“Despite this, it’s true that Benitez always had great faith in me.”
