According to reports in Italy, the Foxes are continuing to push for Acerbi but the Neroverdi aren’t keen to accept their offer, believed to be around €14m [£12.1m].
That represents an increase on their previous offer of €13.5m, but it appears Leicester will have to raise their offer further.
The 28-year-old has been capped twice by Italy, and his story is an inspirational one having beaten cancer twice during his playing career.
