Cristian Ledesma is “pleased” that Lazio drew Turkish side Fenerbahce in the Europa League quarter-finals.

The Biancocelesti are the only remaining team in the competition who are still unbeaten and avoided teams such as Chelsea, Tottenham and Rubin Kazan in today’s draw.

“We know there will be a fiery atmosphere in Turkey, but it is wonderful to play these games,” midfielder Ledesma told Lazio Style Radio.

“We really want to keep going forward in the tournament, even if we know it will be difficult. I didn’t have a preferred team in the draw, as it is great to play against prestigious clubs.

“No matter who we were going to face in the quarter-finals, we had to approach them with the same level of intensity. We’re pleased with Fenerbahce, anyway.”

The first leg will be played in Turkey on April 4, while the second match at the Stadio Olimpico is behind closed doors due to the two-game UEFA ban for repeated racist incidents.
