Il Messaggero reports today that the Aquile have now turned to Rossi, who is set to return to Florence after a six-month spell at recently relegated Levante.

The capital club have proposed to his agent Federico Pastorello, who also represents Antonio Candreva, a two-year deal.

The newspaper believes that La Viola will demand €7-8m for the 29-year-old, who has been at the Artemio Franchi outfit since 2013.

Rossi has a long history of injury problems but bounced back during his loan spell in Spain, scoring six goals and providing two assists in his 17 appearances.
