Ex-Lazio midfielder Roberto Baronio believes the Biancocelesti need to show more consistency if they are to secure Europa League qualification.

The 36-year-old would also like to see German striker Miroslav Klose remain at the club, even if it is only for one more season.

“I think it’s been the theme all season,” Baronio said to Tuttomercatoweb.com. “It will now be difficult for them to find some consistency in the final matches of the season.

“I hope they can do it but I think there have been too many ups and downs so far this season. However, the Europa League dream is still alive for them.

“They need more consistency, they have shown they can do well against anyone but they can also do badly against the smaller teams.

“I hope Klose stays, it remains to be seen what he actually wants to do. I think at the moment he is thinking about the World Cup as well as Lazio.

“I hope he can stay, even if it’s just for one more year.”
