Ciro Immobile has already shown positive signs in training just five days after his car crash and Lazio plan to call him up for their upcoming clash with Torino.

The 33-year-old Italian striker’s car collided with a tram in the streets of Rome on Sunday last week, an incident that left him with a slight spine injury and a fractured rib. After spending a few nights at the hospital, he returned home with his family, visiting the Biancocelesti squad at Formello earlier this week.

Immobile’s season has already been disrupted by injuries, limiting him to just 1612 minutes on the pitch in Serie A, a low amount considering his talismanic status to Lazio.

As highlighted by TMW, Immobile took part in Lazio’s squad training session today, showing incredibly positive signs just days after his car crash.

The Biancocelesti now plan to include him in their matchday squad for their Saturday evening clash with Torino, with the player himself keen to take to the pitch again.

The main goal is recovering Immobile fully for Lazio’s upcoming match against Simone Inzaghi’s Inter, scheduled for April 30.
