Lazio are threatening to report Club Brugge to FIFA for pulling out of their €11m deal to sign Vedat Muriqi after he controversially failed a medical.
The agreement had been reached and personal terms worked out with the Belgian club when suddenly the entire transfer collapsed over the last few days.
It was officially because Brugge complained the centre-forward had failed his medical test and was not in a position to complete the move.
Lazio were furious and today took the Kosovo international in for another set of medical tests, which they claim proves he is in excellent condition.
The Biancocelesti accuse Club Brugge of using the medical tests as an excuse to pull out of the deal for the 28-year-old striker and are reportedly now threatening to report them to FIFA.
Muriqi has been a problem since he first signed for nearly €20m from Fenerbahce in September 2020.
He struggled to adapt to Italian football, scoring only two goals in 49 competitive appearances for the Biancocelesti, but did rediscover some of his form during a loan spell at Real Mallorca, netting four times with three assists in 16 games.
