Lazio are preparing to hand a fresh contract extension to Felipe Anderson according to recent reports from the Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero

The Brazilian, who rejoined Lazio two summers ago, is now into the final year of his current deal, which will expire at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Now into his eighth season as a Lazio player, the club are set to reward Felipe Anderson with a four-year contract according to Wednesday morning’s reports. A meeting between the agents and club representatives reportedly took place on Monday.

Felipe Anderson had originally joined Lazio in the summer of 2013, spending five seasons at the Stadio Olimpico before sealing a move to the Premier League to join West Ham in 2018.

After a three year spell in East London, with a brief stop in Portugal, he returned to Lazio in 2021, agreeing to take a significant pay cut from the €3m per season he earned with West Ham in order to rejoin his former side.

Il Messaggero reports that Lazio have always promised Felipe Anderson that he would one day return to earning a similar salary to the one he received in England.

  1. Fully deserved!
I would say Lotito should think about Romagnoli and Casale as well, depending on what the promises were there.
