Lazio defender Stefan Radu insists his team are itching to respond to their defeat at Catania and have learned from their mistakes.

The Romanian says his team cannot afford to repeat these errors if they are to secure European progress against Bulgarian side Ludogorets.

“We had a bad experience at Catania and we didn’t play well at all,” Radu said at the pre-match Press conference ahead of the Europa League encounter.

“We’re fine now, we analysed the game with the Coach and saw what went wrong.

We hope to not repeat the errors.”

The 27-year-old then revealed how last season’s Europa League run will serve as a motivating factor this time around.

“Last season in the Europa League was a great disappointment, we had a great run and we went out against Fenerbahce despite deserving to be in the semi-final.

“The Europa League is a target that counts for a lot.”

Radu was then asked about how the Biancoceleste are coping without the recently departed Hernanes.

“In my opinion we have the players to replace him,” he enthused. “It was his choice to leave and I can’t say anything else.”
