Lazio are set to lose both Pepe Reina and Thomas Strakosha this summer but they’ve lined up Sergio Rico as a replacement.

The Biancocelesti are preparing for a real squad overhaul in the summer, with coach Maurizio Sarri wanting a number of reinforcements to arrive to help make the squad competitive in the race for a top four finish. Both Reina and Strakosha have contracts expiring in June, meaning a new number one is desperately needed.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Lazio’s top choice to replace Reina and Strakosha is the 28-year-old Rico, who is currently on loan at RCD Mallorca. His contract expires with PSG in 2024 and a deal should be fairly accessible.

Talks have already begun between the parties and Lazio are confident that they can iron out a deal soon. The Spanish goalkeeper has conceded 23 goals and kept one clean sheet in 14 appearances across all competitions this season in Spain.
