Lazio are reportedly interested in signing Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux in January to fill in for Stefan de Vrij.
The Biancocelesti need reinforcements in the back four after De Vrij was told he needed surgery.
Heurtaux is under contract until June 2017, but has fallen down the pecking order at the Stadio Friuli this season.
According to Il Messaggero newspaper, Lazio have set their sights on Heurtaux as their first choice.
The 27-year-old Frenchman has been in Serie A with Udinese since 2012.
