The capital club are currently third in Serie A, four points behind joint-leaders Juventus” data-scaytid=”2″>Juventus and Napoli, and the Brazilian playmaker is confident his side can challenge Antonio Conte and Walter Mazzarri's teams come May.
“The start of the season, for me, has been great,” he told Globo Esporte. “I believe the strength of our team is our desire to win, and we have to continue like this. We can't relax for a moment.
“We must keep this mindset to continue to win, and stay within reach of the top of the League.”
The 27-year-old also commented on his development in Italy, and how he feels he has adapted to the game on the peninsula.
“After two years here, I feel much more at ease, and now things come to me more naturally. During the first two seasons, I played in the centre of midfield, and that was a good thing because I learned a lot from that position.
“Now I am playing slightly behind the strikers, and I can do what I like. This way, I can assist goals and see a lot more of the ball.”
The former Sao Paulo man has been in scintillating form this season, scoring four and setting up three in his first seven matches.
