That led to speculation that the tactician was having doubts, with fears he could abandon the post in favour of the Argentina job.

However, after it was confirmed that the national team job has been filled, the Aquile have moved to assure that Bielsa will be in place for the weekend.
“The club has deposited the contracts of Bielsa and his staff,” Stefano De Martino announced on Lazio Style Radio.
“He will be in Rome on Saturday morning and then head to Formello [the training ground]. The next day they’ll depart for [the pre-season training camp in] Auronzo.
“We’ll be more accurate with the timings later on, but that’s the news.”
