Sergej Milinkovic-Savic insists Lazio “must aim for the Champions League” this season, and looks ahead to the Napoli game.

The Biancocelesti qualified for Europe’s top club competition in 2014-15, but were eliminated by Bayer Leverkusen in the play-off round.

After a positive start under Simone Inzaghi, however, the midfielder believes the Aquile can fly high again.

“We’re a good group, Inzaghi is doing well and has created a good atmosphere in the dressing room,” Milinkovic-Savic said in a Press conference.

“We’re fourth and we want to win every game. Now we have to see what we can do, we must aim for the Champions League this year.

“We’re doing well just now, but it’s normal that everyone wants to do something more. The aim is to finish in the top three.”

Lazio face a trip to Napoli this weekend, having lost the fixture at San Paolo 5-0 last season…

“It’s definitely a tough test, they’re a great team with great players. We need to go there with no pressure, we’ve been playing well and we’ve won a lot of matches.

“We lost 5-0 last year, but we’re playing much better now. We can do something positive on Saturday.”
