Inter right wingback Valentino Lazaro is on the verge of a move to Newcastle United, on loan with option to buy, as his agent was at St James’ Park.
It had been reported for some days in Italy, particularly by Sportitalia, that Lazaro was heading to the Premier League and specifically Newcastle.
Agent Max Hagmayr essentially confirmed the negotiations with a series of Instagram posts showing he was attending Newcastle’s Premier League match against Chelsea on Saturday.

Inter are expecting to pocket €2m for the six-month loan, with option to buy at the end of the season for a further €20m.
This would practically repay the money the Nerazzurri spent on signing the Austrian from Hertha Berlin last summer.
