Marco Verratti’s agent doesn’t believe the midfielder’s teammate Ezequiel Lavezzi will leave Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentinian has been linked with a return to Italy, with Inter and Napoli said to be interested. However, with Partenopei sporting director Riccardo Bigon dismissing prospective transfer as ‘not realistic’, and rumours indicating the Nerazzurri couldn’t afford the attacker’s wages, the prospect of the 29-year-old returning appears remote.

Now the agent of Lavezzi’s teammate Marco Verratti has weighed in, saying that no Italian club could afford Lavezzi.

“Lavezzi to Inter? I don’t think he’ll leave Paris,” Donato Di Campli considered in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.

“And anyway, Lavezzi earns so much, no-one in Italy could match his demands. So it’s either PSG or a foreign club [outside of Italy].”

Di Campli also took the time to address the future of his own client, assuring he won’t leave the French champions.

“Verratti is fine. Nothing will happen [with transfers].”
