Lautaro Martinez has reportedly agreed a new contract with Inter, which crucially removes the €111m release clause.

The 23-year-old and his agents have been in daily meetings with the club hierarchy over the last few days to whittle down the details.

His current deal runs to June 2023, but the new contract would stretch to 2024.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it’ll be worth €4.5m per season, a distinct improvement on the current €2.5m, but also significantly less than the original pre-COVID €7.5m request.
