Lautaro Martinez hit out angrily at transfer speculation over his future. ‘I don’t like these rumours, I’ve always given my best for Inter.’

The striker only recently extended his contract with the Nerazzurri, yet reports continue that he could be sacrificed this summer to make way for free agent Paulo Dybala.

There would be interest from the likes of Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but the Argentina international has no intention of going anywhere.

“I am concentrated on my work and I do not listen to what anyone says on the outside,” Lautaro Martinez told Inter TV.

“I try to focus on my family, those who love me and on Inter. We’ve recovered lost ground now and the Scudetto race is in our hands.

“There is a lot of talk about me and I don’t like it, because I have always given my best for Inter. When I am on the bench, it’s natural to be annoyed, because I always want to play.

He scored a spectacular flick with his back to goal in this evening’s 3-1 victory away to Spezia. Was that intentional?

“I tried to get in front of the defender and I knew the cross would be low, so it was the only way I could get to the ball and I hoped the goalkeeper would be unsighted.”

  1. I don’t think they’re sacrificing him for Dybala, but they do need to make a sale again it sounds like. It makes sense to make it him over Bastoni, Skriniar, Barella or Brozo imo. We can replace Latauro much easier.

  2. @InterMn Replace Lautaro with whom and with what money? A striker is more difficult and more expensive to replace than any other position. He is still very young and has plenty room to improve, unlike Dybala.
