Kevin Lasagna says Udinese “wanted to make up for a bad performance” against Lazio after they beat Bologna 4-0 in the Coppa Italia.

After back-to-back losses to Sampdoria and Lazio, Lasagna helped Udinese thrash their Serie A rivals with an injury-time goal to set up a last-16 tie with Napoli next month.

“We are happy,” he told Rai Sport. “We wanted to make up for the bad performance in Rome.

“This win is very good for the group. We have worked so much on our competitiveness.
