Kevin Lasagna has spoken of ‘a dream come true’ after Carpi secured promotion to Serie A last night.
The Biancorossi secured a fairytale first-ever season in Serie A last night after a 0-0 draw with Bari, and having joined from Serie D, Lasagna is living a fairytale of his own.
“Since I was signed from Serie D [from Este] I was certainly a gamble,” the 22-year-old told Tuttomercatoweb.
“The sporting director [Cristiano Giuntoli] chose to focus on me, and I think he’ll be happy with my performance now.

“This promotion is a dream I’ve had since I was a child, a dream that has finally come true. I want to stay in Serie A with this club, and I think that’s what will happen.
“My future? I’m in no doubt, it’s at Carpi.
“We’re a young squad, but with some old heads who have helped us grow. The old guard helped us.
“Our motto has always been ‘never say never’, and in the end we were right.”
