Pescara Coach Massimo Oddo says Gianluca Lapadula is worthy of a top Serie A team, whilst counselling Lazio for the future.
The 26-year-old striker stole the spotlight in Serie B this year, scoring 26 goals and earning his team a promotion.
“I think Lapadula is already better than many strikers that are due to come to Italy,” Oddo told the podcast I Laziali Sono Qua. “Often the players of an international level aren't the ones coming from abroad.

“I think he's proven that he's ready not just for Serie A, but for a great team too.”
Oddo then went on to discuss Biancocelesti Coach Simone Inzaghi, who is currently enjoying considerable popularity in the capital.
“I expected him to do great things, regardless of the fact that he was signed when the championship was already well underway. I've lived that situation myself.
“Lazio didn't have a precise objective to go after, and yet Inzaghi knew how to work on the minds of his players. If I were a Lazio director I'd put my money on him.
“Lazio need a bit more serenity. Technically speaking they already have some great potential, and some outstanding players.
“They need to bring down their average age, adding two or three quality youngsters to replace, among others, a champion like [Miroslav] Klose.
“The defenders are also all above the age of 30. The return of [Stefan] De Vrij will be fundamental. They need an extra player to flank him, possibly a fast one. A left-back who can dash forward would be very useful.
“For my own part, I've had absolutely no contact with Lazio and I'll be busy with Pescara's needs. In any case, Lazio have so much history and prestige that any Coach would be interested.
“Maybe let's give Simone a few years, and then we'll think about it.”
