Erik Lamela is hoping to become a Serie A star under the guidance of new Roma boss Zdenek Zeman next season.
Zeman is famed for helping young attacking talent to explode as his spell at Pescara in Serie B this term underlined.
Lamela joined the Giallorossi last summer from River Plate, but he had an inconsistent campaign under Luis Enrique.
“Zeman will be ideal for me,” the 20-year-old stated of the 4-3-3 tactician. “I can’t wait to start working under him.
“Next season I want to succeed and become a star of the Italian championship.”
The Argentine attacker scored six goals in 31 games across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
He cost Roma €15m, but that fee could potentially rise to €17m in the future depending on the activation of bonus clauses.
