Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is at risk of missing out on Napoli’s upcoming Campania derby against local rivals Salernitana.

The 21-year-old Georgian winger did not take part in the Partenopei’s disappointing Coppa Italia loss to Cremonese, being forced to sit out due to the flu. Kvaratskhelia has been one of the stars of the show with Napoli this season, directly contributing to 21 goals across 20 appearances in Serie A and the Champions League.

As reported by Il Mattino, Kvaratskhelia is in doubt for Napoli’s upcoming derby with Salernitana, still dealing with flu symptoms. The Georgian did not train with the squad yesterday and worked separately in the gym, feeling under the weather.

Should the 21-year-old’s absence be confirmed, Elif Elmas would play in his place on the left side of the attack.

Kvaratskhelia has scored nine goals and provided 12 assists in 20 appearances this season, immediately shining with Napoli following his €10m arrival from Dinamo Batumi in the summer.
