Kalidou Koulibaly is discussing a contract extension with Napoli, as the offers from Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United aren’t up to scratch.

According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, President Aurelio De Laurentiis proved he was ready to listen when approaches arrived from the Premier League.

He even lowered his asking price to €75-80m, from the original in excess of €100m, in the post-COVID transfer era.

According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, President Aurelio De Laurentiis proved he was ready to listen when approaches arrived from the Premier League.

He even lowered his asking price to €75-80m, from the original in excess of €100m, in the post-COVID transfer era.

However, the bids that did come in were at most €60m and nowhere near enough to tempt the club or player into a move.

Koulibaly is also happy in Naples and has no particular motivation to leave, so is ready to discuss a contract extension at the Stadio San Paolo.

The 29-year-old Senegal international has been at the club since 2014 and his current deal runs to June 2023.
