“It might seem stupid, but despite losing 6-0, I think we did some good things tonight,” said Kolvidsson in his Press conference.
“With the first two goals, that was just pure class from the Italy players. In tactical terms, it was a positive performance, because while we can look to errors in the first half, we did remarkably well in the second down to 10 men.
“Clearly, we need to improve in one against one situations, but the first two goals came from pace. The Italy players are much quicker than we are, so it would’ve been a surprise if they hadn’t played like that.
“We have much to learn in terms of quality, but if we want to try to compete, then this is a starting point and we did learn a lot tonight.
“Italy were allowed very little in the opening 15-20 minutes, but then their quality prevailed. After all, we are 181st in the world ranking and Italy are 18th, so we have to look on the positive side.
“As for the penalty, it was perhaps offside anyway, but I won’t comment on such matters. I trust the referee.”
