Aleksandar Kolarov could leave Roma this summer for a return to his boyhood club Red Star Belgrade.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the full-back is considering his future after a total revamp of the squad and staff.

He will be 34 in November and is not expected to receive another contract from the Giallorossi, with his current deal expiring in June 2020.

Although Kolarov started in the Red Star Belgrade youth academy, he never actually played for the senior team.

“The doors for Aleksandar are always open and it is my desire that he return here,” Crvena Zvezda director Zvezdan Terzic told TeleRadioStereo.

Kolarov shares an agent with Roma teammate Daniele De Rossi, who just left his beloved club after being told there would be no new contract.
