Germany boss Joachim Low is confident that Lazio’s Miroslav Klose will be ready for the start of Euro 2012.

The striker has been included in the squad despite the fact that he hasn’t played a competitive game since picking up an injury in March.

“I was worried about Miroslav a few weeks ago,” Low told reporters on Friday afternoon. “Those concerns have eased though since he started training.

“Klose is in good shape and back to his dynamic self. He took a few days off because of a back issue, but he’s now OK again.

“However, the next two weeks will be crucial for him and he needs to work hard. He can do 60-70 minutes at the moment, but we need 90 from him.”

The 33-year-old joined Lazio on a free transfer last summer from Bayern Munich. He scored 12 goals in 27 League games.

Germany will face Portugal, Holland and Denmark at Euro 2012 as Klose looks to improve his international goal tally of 63. Gerd Muller netted a record 68 for his country.
