It was announced earlier today that the Giallorossi will face the five-time champions, for the right to contest the final in Kiev.

“Our whole life is qualifying for the Champions League, so the two games against Roma will be about qualifying for the next round,” Klopp said in his Press conference ahead of the Bournemouth game.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp calls Roma “outstanding” after being drawn against them in the Champions League semi-final.

“All the other games are about qualifying for the Champions League next year. Because our opponents in the fight for the top four are so strong, you can’t think that they won’t win every game.

“Roma are the only one of the three options we had that we’ve never played before, so that’s already exciting.

“I think it’ll be two difficult games because they’re a fantastic side, you saw the two games against Barcelona.

“If someone only saw these two games then you already pretty much know everything about Roma.

“I think they’ve had a good season after a difficult transfer window for them last year, where they lost not only Mo [Salah] but Emerson [Palmieri] and a few key players for them.

“But they’ve still had a really good season and are fighting for the Champions League again.

“When we face Roma we’ll know everything about them obviously, at this moment I only know because I saw the second leg against Barcelona, which was outstanding.”
