Milan defender Simon Kjaer says it has “been strange” lately due to the postponed matches in the wake of the Coronavirus.

The defender spoke to Milan TV about the current situation in the country as the Italian game has been thrown into chaos due to the rapid rise of confirmed cases of the virus.

“These have been strange days, we haven’t played for almost two weeks, but it’s allowed me to have more time to recover,” Kjaer told the channel.

“I’m feeling better and I’m happy with the progress I’ve made.

Kjaer gave praise to Stefano Pioli, who has slowly turned the Rossoneri around.

“I have only positive things to say about Pioli. He has given me confidence, his humanity makes the difference, he is a very good person.”

Milan take on Genoa this weekend behind closed doors, so how does Kjaer think the match will feel?

“Without the fans it won’t be a good experience, there is nothing to lift you up, everything will be empty.

“It will be strange, it will allow us to understand how we are doing mentally, to prove we are better than them and to win.”
