Agent Tomislav Erceg denied that an approach has been made by the Partenopei for the striker, but left the door open to a future move.
“It’s normal to be pleased by interest from a club as prestigious as Napoli,” Erceg said to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“In recent years De Laurentiis’ club has grown exponentially in Italy and internationally.
“At the moment I don’t know and can’t say anything because no one has contacted me.
“Kalinic has only played in Italy for a short time and we’re grateful to Paulo Sousa, the Coach who has believed in him, and to Fiorentina who have counted on Nikola’s quality.
“A future at Napoli? Never say never in football! At the end we’re from Split, a city very similar to Naples for the way of living and understanding life.
“We’re close to the Neapolitans in so many ways and because of this I say never say never.
“I repeat, he’s grateful to Fiorentina and is focused on the Viola’s objectives for the season.”
