Juventus have tasked their lawyers to terminate the contract of former PSV talent Mohamed Ihattaren, reports detail.

The Dutch forward joined the Bianconeri from the Eredivisie outfit back in August 2021 for around €1.9m and was immediately loaned to Sampdoria, where problems quickly arose. He failed to make a single appearance for the club and soon returned to the Netherlands, forcing Juventus to set up a new loan deal with Ajax.

Ihattaren made just five appearances for Ajax before returning to Turin at the end of December. Since his return, he’s been seen often at both J-Hotel and the club’s training ground, trying to get match fit. The 21-year-old has been involved in various legal issues in recent years, disrupting his playing career.

As reported by Romeo Agresti of Goal Italia, Juventus’ lawyers are working on terminating Ihattaren’s contract, wanting to protect the club’s image.

The Bianconeri have tried to support the 21-year-old Dutchman, despite his various off-pitch issues, but believe that he’s now reached a point of no return professionally.
