Multiple reports in Italy claim Juventus are ready to part ways with Leonardo Bonucci this summer given that Massimiliano Allegri no longer sees him as a regular starter.

The veteran defender has one year left in his €6.5m contract at the Allianz Stadium.

Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti and La Gazzetta dello Sport report Allegri no longer sees Bonucci as a regular starter in Turin, so the Bianconeri are ready to part company with the 36-year-old this summer.

However, Agresti claims Juventus have already spoken to Bonucci, while Gazzetta says a meeting between the club and the defender has not occurred yet. It doesn’t change the fact that Bonucci is no longer untouchable at Juventus.

Tuttosport had reported earlier this month that the Bianconeri wanted to sell Bonucci this summer and the defender reacted on Instagram, suggesting that he wouldn’t consider leaving the Allianz Stadium.

Premier League side Newcastle United have been linked with signing the veteran defender, but Andrea Pirlo’s Sampdoria are also said to be interested in the Bianconeri centre-back.
