Joining Juventus during the January transfer window was the top priority for Roma’s Marco Borriello.

The Italian international officially completed his loan move to Turin on Tuesday, much to the delight and relief of his representative.

“I’m happy that the transfer has been completed,” agent Claudio Vigorelli told calcionews24.com. “And so is Marco.

“Juventus was always our first choice so we could not ask for more. I have to thank everybody who contributed to the transfer.

“Borriello will now have the opportunity to do well at a club that wants to relaunch itself, a club full of sporting tradition and one which is presently at the top of the table.”

Borriello is expected to offer competition to Alessandro Matri for the centre-forward role in Antonio Conte’s 4-3-3 system.

“Marco will put himself at the disposal of the Coach,” Vigorelli added. “It will be up to Conte when and how to use him.

“However, the one thing that is certain is that Borriello hasn’t forgotten how to score a goal and he wants to help drag Juventus to victory.”
